We are now offering yoga sessions at Solid Ground Counseling!

Beginner/Intermediate Yoga Flow

This class is designed for those who are newer to yoga as well as those who have experience and want to deepen their practice. We’ll move through a balanced flow that focuses on building strength, improving flexibility, and developing more confidence in your movement and breath.

You’ll be guided through foundational poses with options to modify or explore slightly more challenging variations. The pace of this class is steady and supportive, giving you time to experience each posture without feeling rushed. We’ll finish with a calming cool-down and guided relaxation to help you leave feeling centered and refreshed.

Great for anyone looking for a mindful, well-rounded practice that meets you where you are.

Meet Cheri and Bernie:

Cheri

My yoga journey began in 2014 when I was training for an athletic event and hurt my back. At the suggestion of my chiropractor, I sought out yoga classes at a local gym.

I first came to yoga for the physical benefits, but as my body became stronger and healthier, I soon discovered that my yoga mat was a place to find a sense of self awareness and mind body connection as well. After practicing yoga for over 9 years I decided I wanted to share my passion for yoga with others. I obtained my certification to teach in 2023.

As a teacher, I realize that yoga is not a "one size fits all" practice, and that every person is on a different path. I find immense joy, satisfaction and inspiration in seeing students discover their own abilities through their own personal yoga journey.

Bernie

My love for yoga began in 2021.  I was searching to get back into shape and decided to try yoga with a dear friend. I was amazed with how physically and mentally strong I was getting. I jokingly called it my “therapy”, but jokes aside, it was a game changer.

I noticed a mental toughness in myself and my family noticed a calm in me that wasn’t there before. I noticed a mindfulness that helped me respond to regular daily stressors instead of just reacting to them. I quickly realized yoga is a practice that could benefit everyone at any level. Was I nervous and intimidated to take my first class? Absolutely!! But what I found is that yoga is so much more than how you look in a pose, but rather a journey of self-awareness and acceptance.

My love of yoga continued and in my search to deepen my practice I decided to take a yoga teaching training course. What I realized is that I had a passion to share this amazing mindfulness journey with others.
